Who Are We?

Even though our COLD SPRING dealership was founded in 2003, its roots can be traced much earlier, all the way back to 1972 when Bob Schwieters began working as a salesperson at Baston Chevrolet. Even before Bob found success as a salesperson, he learned all he knew from his parents, Herbert and Aurelia Schwieters, growing up on a dairy farm. His parents prioritized teaching him and his 11 siblings respect, honesty, hard work, and a willingness to help people.

Bob applied these values to his work ethic, learning many valuable lessons as he progressed into management roles. Besides the many lessons Bob learned about the automotive industry, he realized that teamwork and employee recognition are paramount to success. After many years working at various dealerships around St. Cloud, MN, Bob and Kathy, his wife, decided to open their dealership in Glenwood, MN.

Using Bob's parents' simple philosophy to guide their business practice, Bob and Kathy strived to create an automotive dealership where "customers came first." In 2012, they sold this dealership to one of their employees.
